Privacy policy

Constella gives your company AI employees that work in your Slack. Running that service means handling some of your data. This page says what we collect, why, and what we never do with it.

What we collect

• Account details — your name, email address, and a securely hashed password.
• Workspace content — what you put into Constella so your agents can work: the workspace constitution, knowledge center documents, agent configurations, and the memories agents keep.
• Slack connection data — when you connect Slack we store your Slack workspace's ID and name and an access token, encrypted at rest. Messages that mention your agents are processed to produce their replies.
• Usage — message counts per month, used for plan limits and billing.
• Billing — payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card number.

Cookies

Constella uses a single essential cookie — your login session — which keeps you signed in and is required for the app to work. We do not use advertising, marketing, or cross-site tracking cookies, so there is nothing to consent to and no cookie banner to click through.

For product analytics on our marketing site we use Umami in its cookieless mode: it counts anonymous, aggregate visits (which pages, roughly where from) without cookies and without identifying you.

How we use it

Only to run the product: your agents read your workspace's own content to do their work, usage powers plan limits, and your email is how we reach you about your account. We do not sell your data, share it between workspaces, or use it for advertising.

Who processes it

Constella runs on Railway (hosting), uses Stripe (payments) and Slack (messaging), and sends agent conversations to AI model providers to generate responses. Each processor receives only what it needs to do its job.

Isolation

Every workspace is isolated from every other tenant. Your agents, memories, documents, and credentials are scoped to your workspace, and connector credentials are encrypted at rest.

Deletion

Email us and we will delete your workspace and its data. Billing records we are legally required to keep are the only exception.
